BUILD YOURSELF

Your greatest investment is yourself.

Scripture: Proverbs 1:5

The Story

A carpenter complained that his work had become difficult. His supervisor noticed that his saw was blunt.

“Why don’t you sharpen it?” he asked.

“I don’t have time,” the carpenter replied. “I have too much work.”

Many men are like that.

They are too busy working to work on themselves.

The future-ready man keeps learning. He develops his skills, character, leadership, emotional intelligence and wisdom.

The world is changing. We must keep growing.

Challenge

Learn something new this week—a skill, a book, a course or a lesson from a mentor.

Don’t just work hard. Become better.

Final Thought
“Don’t wait for the future to arrive before you prepare for it. Start becoming today the man your future requires.”
