Scripture: Romans 12:2; Proverbs 23:7
Key Verse “As he thinks in his heart, so is he.” Proverbs 23:7
One of the greatest prisons is not made of iron bars but of limiting beliefs. Many men have accepted labels such as “I’m not educated enough,” “I don’t have connections,” “I’m too old,” or “People like me never succeed.” Those thoughts quietly determine the direction of their lives.
Story
Roger Bannister was once told that running a mile in under four minutes was humanly impossible. Experts believed the body could not survive it. Yet on May 6, 1954, Bannister broke the four-minute barrier. Amazingly, within a year, several other runners also achieved it. What changed? Human ability had not changed, human belief had.
Many limitations exist only because someone believes they do.
God specializes in changing the way men think before He changes where they stand.
Prayer
Father, renew my mind. Remove every limiting belief and help me to see myself the way You see me.
Action Point
Write down three beliefs that have been limiting you and replace them with God’s promises.
