Pride rarely destroys everything at once. It begins quietly and gradually erodes the foundations of a man’s life.
Pride Damages Relationships
Pride prevents forgiveness, blocks reconciliation, and fuels unnecessary conflicts. Many broken relationships exist not because the issue was too big, but because no one was willing to humble themselves first.
Pride Blocks Growth
A man who believes he knows everything stops learning. Yet life constantly demands growth. The moment we stop learning, we begin to decline.
Pride Distances Us from God
The greatest danger of pride is spiritual. Pride tells a man he can manage life on his own. But Scripture reminds us:
“God resists the proud, but gives grace to the humble.” — James 4:6
Imagine that God actively resisting a proud heart.
The tragedy is that pride can cause a man to lose the very grace he needs to succeed.
But the good news is this: humility restores what pride destroys.
When a man humbles himself before God and others, healing begins.
Has pride ever damaged a relationship or opportunity in your life? What did you learn from it?
Stay joyful. Stay intentional.
