Psalms 91:1-2 NKJV
[1]” He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High Shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. [2] I will say of the Lord, “He is my refuge and my fortress; My God, in Him I will trust.”
Every great man in Scripture had a secret place. Before leading Israel, Moses spent time alone with God. Before confronting Goliath, David learned to worship in lonely fields. Before choosing His disciples, Jesus spent nights in prayer.
The secret place is not merely a physical location; it is a lifestyle of intimacy with God. It is where a man learns to hear God’s voice above the noise of the world. In a generation filled with distractions, responsibilities, and pressures, many men have become busy but spiritually empty.
God’s invitation remains open: “Come and dwell with Me.”
Dwelling is different from visiting. Many believers visit God occasionally, but few dwell with Him consistently. A visitor comes and goes; a dweller remains. The strength of a man’s public life is determined by the depth of his private life with God.
As men, we often focus on achievements, career growth, business success, and family responsibilities. While these are important, none can replace intimacy with God. The secret place is where purpose is clarified, strength is renewed, and character is formed.
Prayer
Father, create in me a hunger for Your presence. Help me to prioritize fellowship with You above every other pursuit. Teach me to dwell continually in Your secret place. Amen.
Your influence is your legacy; use it wisely.
Stay joyful. Stay intentional.
